Mendip Housing has been through a period of rapid change to achieve a focus on customer service and high performance in all areas, laying the foundations for its sound future prospects. This focus is very much at the heart of our ethos, and staff buy-in to this is not only fundamental to our success, but also a genuine source of professional pride to all our teams.

Staff relish the challenges this brings, and work hard to maintain continuous improvement and development but always in an atmosphere of team spirit and friendly cooperation – and they have fun along the way!

In addition to joining our Aster colleagues for bi-annual conferences, we encourage active cross–departmental team work both within Mendip Housing and across the Group. Communications are timely and clear, and in addition to a range of published news and updates, we have regular staff briefings and ‘lunch & learn’ sessions which are an enjoyable way of meeting colleagues over lunch to find out what is going on in the company. All teams hold frequent team meetings and every member of staff will have a dedicated one to one meeting with their manager at least every month.

Our current offices are historically interesting and have access to fabulous gardens, but we recognise that we need a more efficient and environmentally sustainable home for the 21st Century, and one which is appropriate to our open and dynamic way of working. We are therefore excited to be working with developers and architects towards moving into new offices with a state-of the-art environmental spec in 2009.
